Singer Esegine Allen, popularly known as Orezi, has revealed how a woman he met at a club in Abuja gifted him N30 million after a night together.

Speaking in a recent interview with Echo Room, the Ogede hitmaker clarified that the woman did not pay him for sex but simply appreciated him for satisfying her.

“I wouldn’t say she paid me for sex. She only appreciated me for satisfying her,” he said. “The highest amount I have received from a woman is N30 million. It was in 2016 in Abuja.”

Orezi explained that he wasn’t in a relationship with the woman but had a casual encounter with her. He added that she gave him the money voluntarily.

“She gave me the money because she liked me. If you like a lady, won’t you spend on her? We weren’t dating, but we had something going on. I didn’t ask for the money. She gave it to me willingly as a fine boy,” he said.

Recounting the experience, Orezi said he met the woman at a club, and after partying together, they left for her place.

“We clubbed together, had fun, and went home together. It was one nice Aboki (Hausa) woman. I was in Abuja, and my return flight to Lagos was the next day,” he narrated.

According to him, he was completely caught off guard when the money arrived in his account.

“I was shocked. I wasn’t expecting it. When I got to Lagos, she sent a message to check up on me and requested my account details. I sent it, and she sent me N30 million. When I showed my friends the alert, they were shocked that a woman could gift a man such an amount.”

The singer also claimed that many male celebrities receive similar financial gifts from women.

“A lot of male celebrities enjoy the same privilege. I feel like it’s a normal thing. I know a couple of artists who do. I’m sure they enjoy the same privilege. The same way there’s fine girl privilege, there’s also the privilege of being a celebrity,” he added.

Orezi is known for his blend of Afrobeats, dancehall and reggae influences.

He gained prominence with his 2013 hit single ‘Rihanna’, which earned him widespread recognition.

In 2015, he released his debut album, The Ghen Ghen Album, featuring hits like ‘Shuperu’ and ‘Ogede.’
