Singer Tiwa Savage has shared her concerns about keeping her nine-year-old son, Jamil Balogun, entertained during the summer holidays.
Taking to her Instagram Story, the singer posted humorous updates that many parents can relate to.
In one of the posts on Saturday, Tiwa shared a video where she pretended to be on a phone call with the school secretary.
In the video, she said, “Hey, it’s me. I know we are supposed to be on a break right now, but I just wanted to call you and let you know that, erm, well, the kids are missing you a lot right now. I’m missing you a lot too.”
The imaginary secretary responded, “Ma’am, you really have to stop calling here,” to which Tiwa apologised.
Following the video, Tiwa posted a written update expressing her exasperation.
“Because how am I supposed to keep a 9-year-old occupied every summer break? Abeg let them resume school fast fast. #iwannaenjoymyself,” highlighting her desire for some personal downtime.
As schools close for the summer, many parents, like Tiwa, are finding creative ways to manage their children’s time.
Tiwa’s son, Jamil, was born in 2015. The singer had the child with her ex-husband and former manager Teebillz.
