Actress Juliana Olayode has narrated how comedians made her feel insecure and ugly with their jokes about women with stretch marks.
In an Instagram post in the early hours of Thursday, the former Jenifa’s Diary star said that in addition to making her feel ugly, the marks made her hate her arms.
The actress popularly known as Toyo Baby added that as a result of her insecurities, she started thinking no one will find her attractive.
She said: “Strech marks. Yep. It started as a stroke, a tiny one and then it took over my entire arms. I can not tell you how much I hated my arms. I was like ‘Lord anywhere else but my arms everyone was going to see it. I became very insecure. I started feeling ugly.”
“I remember some jokes different comedians had said in the part about girls with stretch marks. It made me feel even worse and as an overthinker, I started to think that no one will find me attractive, I wish I can fully express how ugly the stretchmarks made me feel.”
