Musicians Dapo Oyebanjo aka D’banj and Michael Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, have rekindled their friendship to celebrate the Koko Master’s 20 years on stage.
The former business partners shared photos of their reunion on Instagram, showing them happily fist-bumping and posing alongside Don Jazzy’s father.
D’banj expressed gratitude for their enduring bond, likening it to that of brothers.
“Brothers for life, It’s @donjazzy again. Bad Boys Since 04. I must greet @mavingrandpa specially! Thanks for all the prayers and support since 04! Since ’04 drops tomorrow, Ooossshhee,” D’banj captioned the pictures.
Don Jazzy and D’banj joined forces to establish the now-defunct Mo’ Hits Records in 2006. The label housed signed artistes like Wande Coal, Dr SID, D’Prince, and K-Switch.
But in March 2012, Don Jazzy announced that D’banj had left the group.
Last week, D’banj tendered an apology to the former members of Mo’ Hits Records. The 43-year-old also revealed he will put out a track that “is dear to my heart” on Friday as part of his 20 years celebration as an entertainer.
On Friday, he released a new single ‘Since 04’.
In ‘Since ’04’, D’banj gushes about his music career spanning two decades. He also paid tributes to the former members of the label including Don Jazzy.
On April 12, he announced a partnership with The Temple Company, an entertainment powerhouse, to celebrate 20 years in the creative industry.
