The family of the late former Oyo State governor Kolapo Ishola has confirmed the death of the politician’s eldest son Kunle.
A statement on Thursday signed by Amos Ishola on behalf of the family said the younger Ishola, aged 63, died on Tuesday following a brief illness.
The statement read, “With a deep sense of loss but total submission to the will of Almighty God, the ISHOLA family wishes to announce the passing on to glory of our dearly beloved Son, Brother, Husband, Father Barrister Adekunle Olumuyiwa ISHOLA on Tuesday, 2nd July 2024, after a brief illness.
“He died at the age of 63 years.”
The deceased was a commissioner for agriculture and natural resources and commissioner for lands and housing in Oyo State.
He is survived by his wife, a son, and other family members.
His father, who was governor of the state from 1991 to 1993 died on August 9, 2011, at the age of 77.
