The group chief executive officer of Access Holdings Plc Herbert Wigwe appeared to have predicted his own death weeks before it happened.
Mr Wigwe died alongside his wife and son in a helicopter crash in California near the Nevada border in the United States on Friday night.
Group chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc Abimbola Ogunbanjo was reportedly travelling with them at the time of the crash.
Some reports said they were heading to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl event scheduled for Sunday.
However, three weeks before the crash that claimed his life, Wigwe appeared to have foreseen his death.
He wrote on X on January 19 about appreciating life as a gift and valuing each day.
“Today and always, let us remember that life is a precious gift – a chance to breathe, feel, love, experience and connect.
“Let’s honour this gift by living with purpose, kindness, and gratitude, making every moment count. Let us number our days,” he wrote.
He made the post a day after speaking at the funeral of the bank’s image maker Abdul Imoyo on January 18. Wigwe also attended and spoke at a service of songs for Mr Imoyo on January 17.
