Nollywood actor Yul Edochie was listed as one of the top five trending actors of 2022 by Google on Thursday December 8.
Google’s 2022 Year in Search compiles the moments, people, topics, events, and places that captured the world’s attention each year.
Although American actors Will Smith and Johnny Depp took the number one and two spots respectively in Nigeria, Yul Edochie who earned the number three spot, buzzed the internet for months with his marriage controversy.
Yul unsettled the peace in his home in April when he announced he had married actress Judy Austin Moghalu as his second wife and that they have a son together.
The drama heated up when the actor justified his marriage to Judy which led to backlash from fans, celebrities and his brothers who distanced themselves from the actor and his second wife.
On her part, Yul’s first wife May Yul-Edochie made it clear that she will not cajoled into accepting her husband’s choice of polygamy.
May, who has four children with Yul, said polygamy is a life choice and that no one should be compelled to accept it.
Judy also made the list of trending actors of 2022 alongside Osita Iheme popularly known as Pawpaw.
Yul Edochie is the last child of veteran actor Pete Edochie.
