MTN events and sponsorship manager Dola Bamigboye went for a walk on Saturday morning hours before he was confirmed dead.
Qed.ng learned from a source close to the deceased that he slept after the walk but did not wake up from the sleep.
This is contrary to media reports that Mr Bamigboye died in his sleep after going to bed on Friday night.
Our correspondent was also informed that he had been treating high blood pressure and diabetes for many years.
He slumped during a thanksgiving service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David Parish, Victoria Island in January.
A similar incident was said to have happened at home in February, prompting medical attention abroad.
The Ekiti-born Bamigboye is described as lovable by friends and colleagues.
He is survived by his wife Ochee and three children.
