Celebrity disk jockey and singer, DJ Cuppy, has revealed that she is not ready for marriage as it will slow down her career.
DJ Cuppy, 26, who is in Ghana to promote her latest single disclosed this on talk show, the Starr Drive with KOD and Cookie Tee.
“I am not ready to marry and have kids now because it will slow down my career,” she answered when asked about marriage.
The ‘Abena’ singer also said that she was uncomfortable with being called a ‘female DJ.’
She attributed this to the fact that she did not look up to any female DJ when she started building her brand adding that no other DJ does the job better than her.
Speaking on the rivalry between Ghanaian and Nigerian music, she insisted that Nigerian music was inspired by Ghanaian music.
DJ Cuppy was previously linked to Davido’s manager, Asa Asika.
The two famously re-enacted a love scene from a 90’s Disney show on Asa’s birthday in September 2018.
It is however believed that the lovebirds have gone their separate ways.
