I am now a woman, Bobrisky reacts to Trump’s order recognising only two genders

Crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has addressed US President Donald Trump’s recent executive order affirming the recognition of only two genders: male and female.

The directive, part of a series of policies announced by Trump, mandates all US government institutions to adhere to this binary understanding of gender.

During his inaugural address, Trump stated, “As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female.”

Reacting to the development, Bobrisky took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday, expressing confidence in his identity.

He wrote, “I don’t have business with Trump. Trump said we have only two genders, right? And I said I am now a woman who has undergone everything. If they ask for evidence, I will show them, simple.”

In November 2024, Bobrisky finally left Nigeria after multiple failed attempts to travel abroad.

His legal troubles, which began in April 2024, led to two arrests in October—first by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) at the Seme border for allegedly attempting to flee the country and later by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), who removed him from an Amsterdam-bound KLM flight at Murtala Muhammed International Airport.

Despite these setbacks, Bobrisky later announced in a series of Instagram videos that he had successfully left Nigeria.
