Actor Yul Edochie has said he became a polygamist to give his son with actress Judy Austin a proper identity.
Yul unsettled the peace in his home in April when he announced he had married Judy as his second wife and that they have a son together.
The controversy heated up when the actor justified his marriage to Judy which led to backlash from fans, celebrities and his brothers who distanced themselves from the actor and his second wife.
Speaking about his second marriage in an Instagram post on Sunday, Yul revealed that he chose polygamy to give his son a proper identity.
The 40-year-old added that the bible acknowledges polygamy and marrying a second wife came with so many blessings to him, his first wife and his second wife.
He wrote: “l’m a very proud Polygamist. With my full chest.Read Exodus 21 vs 10. The bible acknowledges Polygamy. It is my destiny. God directed me to do it. So can give my son a proper identity.
Therefore it came with many blessings, blessings for me, blessings for my wife Queen May to calm her down cos as a human being she’ll definitely not be happy about it, and blessings for my wife Judy as well. I’m a very solid man of God.
“With so much grace.You may not understand my life and say negative things about me, I won’t blame you. It’s my life not yours.So you’re not supposed to understand it. Dear Lord, acknowledge your abundant blessings in my life, in my family and Ijust want to say THANK YOU LORD. My mouth will forever testify your goodness.
