I can’t be loved by all, Mofe Duncan says on 37th birthday

Nollywood actor, Mofe Duncan, has joked that it is impossible for everyone to love him as he is not fried plantains, locally called ‘dodo.’

The Three Kings star made the joke on Thursday when he shared a 37th birthday message to himself on Instagram.

“Chapter 37. This pic was taken on my Birthday last year, I selected it because it marks the beginning of what was an extraordinary year for me…

“To every single one of my close friends and family and to every single fan/follower who ever dropped a positive comment or show of appreciation for my craft, I am indebted to you all. To the others, no hard feelings. I’m not dodo, I can’t be loved by all….,” he wrote.

Mofe has been open about his love for ‘dodo’, sharing a tribute to it in a video he shared on Instagram on April 8.

The video shows fried plantains prepared in different ways with Wiz Khalifa’s song, ‘See you Again’, playing in the background.

It then ends with the caption, “In loving memory of all the soft dodo I ever took for granted.”
