YBNL Princess Temmie Ovwasa has said she did the soundtrack for the Nigeria lesbian movie Ife.
The 24-year-old revealed this in an Instagram post on Friday.
She shared she is surrounded by fiercest queer women Nigeria has ever produced.
“I made the soundtrack for this beautiful Nigerian Lesbian Movie, I’m surrounded by the fiercest Queer women this country has ever produced!! This movie by @uyaiedu will blow your mind,” she wrote.
In the comments, Uyaiedu Ikpe-Etim who is the director said, “I love you my baby. I love you so much. This film won’t have been complete or as magical without the amazing scoring you gave us.”
The Nigerian Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) says the movie violates the country’s strict laws on homosexuality and those behind it risk jail.
The movie, according to the producer Pamela Adie, is to show an accurate picture of lesbian and bisexual women in Nigerian movies.
Ife stars Uzoamaka Aniunoh and Cindy Amadi.
Temmie had on December 3 said she was a lesbian on her Instastories.
“Yes I belong to the Alphabet Mafia, L division,” she wrote.
