Crossdresser Idris Okuneye also known as Bobrisky has denied defaming human rights lawyer Femi Falana and his son Folarin (Falz), urging them to hold media critic VeryDarkMan responsible for the defamatory content circulating online.
Bobrisky clarified that he never paid Falana or Falz to secure a presidential pardon during his legal troubles.
This comes after Falana and Falz demanded a public apology and retraction for Bobrisky’s statements in audio recordings shared online.
In one recording, Bobrisky allegedly claimed he had asked Falz to help secure a presidential pardon from his father, costing N10 million and also requested N3 million from Falz for special treatment at Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
Another audio suggested Bobrisky paid N5 million upfront to a Senior Advocate of Nigeria for the pardon.
On 14 October, Falana’s lawyers accused Bobrisky of making false and damaging claims.
They demanded a full retraction and apology on all platforms where the statements were shared.
In response, Bobrisky maintained that he never gave money to Falana or Falz and that VeryDarkMan who shared the audios should be held responsible.
He reiterated this on his Instagram, stating his lawyer would handle any further issues.
Bobrisky also denied publishing any defamatory statements, insisting that his communications should remain private and that any defamation claims should be directed at the content’s publisher.
