Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli has stated that she does not attend extravagant weddings.
In a Tik Tok video shared on Thursday, the 43-year-old made it known that the budget that comes with planning an extravagant wedding is alarming, she also hinted that after making such expenses the marriage might not last.
According to the actress, booking a flight, buying asoebi, styling the dress and spending time on makeup and hotel accommodation consumes a lot of money.
Omoni recently said that was that she was sent to break generational curses and rescue her family from poverty.
The Wives on Strike star made this known in a podcast with veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo.
I am Gucci, that’s the truth, I am okay but I hustle like I am still broke. I want to be wealthy, I want to have generational wealth. I say to myself I am the curse breaker in my family, I was sent to break generational curses.
“In every family, there is that one person that broke the chain, there is that one person that the family became rich from, you know what I mean? So every rich family that you see, started with one person. I’m like I am the curse breaker and I’m not gonna break generational curses by being just enough. It has to be whole money, it has to get to that point when everybody from me cannot be poor,” she said.
