Filmmaker Tunde Kelani has described the award of an honorary doctoral degree on him by Lead City University, Ibadan as a milestone.
The 74-year-old spoke about the award in an Instagram post on Tuesday, the day after the honour was conferred on him.
“It is now on record that on the 12th day of the 12th month of the year 2022, I was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) by Lead City University, Ibadan, one of the leading universities in Nigeria,” he began his message.
The man who called the shot on iconic films like Tí Olúwa Nile, Ayo Ni Mofe, Koseegbe, O Le Ku, Thunderbolt, Saworoide and Agogo Eewo then thanked those who have contributed to his journey.
“I hereby thank my family and friends. associates, supporters, collaborators, benefactors and professional colleagues for being part of my journey.
“Your love, support and encouragement over the past few decades have finally paid off. I am grateful. God bless you all,” the culture advocate wrote, before signing off as “Dr. TK.”
