Music star D’banj has addressed his followers for the first time since he was released from the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
The singer who was detained on Tuesday for allegedly collaborating with some government officials to introduce ghost beneficiaries into the payroll of the N-Power scheme in order to divert funds, was released in Friday afternoon.
Shortly after his release, the musician took to his Instagram account to share his side of the story.
In the post, the 42-year-old said he has assisted the ICPC with what he knows on the matter, adding that he has no business with fraud.
He wrote: “Global thank you to the world. I was invited on an ongoing investigation in ICPC. have assisted the commission with all know and am confident in their capacity to unravel the truth. I have no business with fraud, all l do is chop life. I was released on self-recognition because nothing was seen or found on me. God bless you all my people.”
