The suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen, has said that he has not resigned as alleged by some news media.
Mr Onnoghen, in a statement issued by his aide, Awassam Bassey, on Monday, said rumours of his purported resignation were simply fake news.
“The Hon CJN, Hon Justice Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen, GCON, has not resigned,” he said in the statement.
President Muhammadu Buhari had suspended Onnoghen last Friday and appointed Tanko Mohammed as Acting CJN.
