Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw says she loves the way Muslims bury the dead.
The 49-year-old tweeted on Wednesday amazed at the cost of burying the dead among Christians.
“Why do people in the village like to put a huge burden of burial expenses on the family of the bereaved? Is it not enough that they lost a loved one and are dealing with the grief? I have said it and I repeat, I love the Muslim way,” Kate wrote.
Muslims bury their dead wrapped in a clothing without a coffin.
In most cases, the dead are required to be laid to the down on the day of their death after prayers.
Eight days later, a prayer for jannatul firdaus (safe travel to paradise) is held for the deceased.
