Actor and model Chris Okagbue has professed his love for actress Favour Daniels who died in a boat accident on February 5.
He poured out his heart in a tribute published on Instagram on Tuesday.
Sharing a picture of Favour, Chris said he had been in denial since he learnt of her passing.
His words: “I’d go out, put up a smile and somehow convince myself that you had just gone away for a little while and soon I’d get that call that you were back home.
“But reality hit me yesterday when I watched you go into the ground. That’s when I knew that you really weren’t coming back. That’s when I knew that I’ll never see your face again or see you smile or hear your mosquito voice or your weird laugh again in this life.”
The actor said he had known loss but it will be hard for him and others to move on without Favour.
“It will be hard for we that love you to move on with our lives knowing that you’re not in it. But I am consoled knowing that that is what you would have wanted.
“I know I can’t question God. All I ask is that He gives us, your family, the fortitude to get through this.
“I’m glad that the last time I saw you breathing, you were your usual self, full of life, light and positive energy. You’ve always been a star. So small but you had such a huge and beautiful personality, and that’s how I’ll always remember you,” he said.
Professing his love, he continued: I loved you in life, and even in death I love you still, and so does your family. We will live for you, grow for you, enjoy life while we’re still here, for you, because I know you wouldn’t want to see us waste even a second being sad.
“Go on home and rest well my sister. This world never deserved you anyway.
“I’ll miss you.”
Favour’s death at the age of 26 was announced by her older sister Elizabeth Daniels on Instagram on February 10.
