Actress Doris Simeon has talked about her reason fr relocation abroad and how she misses being on movie set.
The US-based actress who was popular in the Yoruba film industry in the early 2000s, spoke about her relocation in an interview with her colleague, Kunle Afod.
According to her, she left Nigeria in 2018 so she could be closer to her child.
“As many people know, my child and his father reside in America, and that’s one of the reasons I decided to relocate here.
“I left Nigeria in 2018 and I have not returned since then. I miss Nigeria a lot. The things I miss most especially are the roadside food vendors. Things like roasted yam, roasted corn, food that they hawk,” she said.
“I miss my family and friends and I also miss being on set, especially when I see actors and actresses sharing behind-the-scenes moments on their social media platforms,” the movie star added.
Doris’ marriage to filmmaker Daniel Ademinokan, whom she met on a movie set in 2006, ended in 2010, but their divorce was not finalised until 2013.
The marriage produced a son, David, born on April 4, 2008.
