Actress Bisola Badmus has opened up about her ongoing co-parenting struggles with King Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as KWAM 1 or K1, the father of her son Malik.
In addition to discussing the challenges of raising their child, Bisola revealed her painful three-year battle with a brain tumor in an interview with actress Biola Adebayo on ‘Talk to B‘.
Currently facing the challenge of managing her health, Bisola also shared the emotional strain of co-parenting with KWAM 1.
According to her, the support she initially received from him has since faded away, leaving her to bear the responsibilities of caring for their son alone.
“Initially, I didn’t tell my baby daddy (K1) about my sickness (brain tumor), but he later got to know. He tried for a while but is not responding to me anymore.
“All I want him to do is take care of the responsibilities of our son, Malik. I have been trying to cope, but it’s not easy,” Bisola revealed.
She shared how KWAM 1 eventually withdrew from their lives, cutting off communication and leaving her to manage the emotional and financial burden of raising Malik.
Bisola made a public plea for him to take responsibility, as the weight of managing her health and Malik’s care alone has become overwhelming.
The actress also discussed the sacrifices she’s made to fund her treatment, including selling her cars to cover the costs.
She recounted how her condition deteriorated to the point where she lost the ability to speak and recognise people. Although surgery was not an option, she has relied on medication for the past two years, gradually seeing improvements.
“I have been on medication, and my condition is improving. They told me surgery wasn’t an option, so I’ve relied on drugs for the past two years. It’s not something I can just stop.”
Despite the challenges she faces, Bisola expressed gratitude for the support she has received from her colleagues in the entertainment industry.
In a previous report by QEDNG, actor Kunle Afod visited Bisola and shared updates on her condition.
