Comedian, AY Makun, has thanked fellow comedian, for mentoring and guiding him to become as successful as he is today.
The 48-year-old expressed his appreciation to the man when he shared a 55th birthday message to Ali Baba, born Atunyota Akpobome, on Instagram.
“When you asked me to join you in Lagos, I was fresh out of Delta State University. You saw something in me that I didn’t even realise would make me become the man that I am today. I grew and developed due to your brilliant leadership.
“I owe all of my success and achievements to you. You are my mentor and father in the comedy industry…Happy birthday to @alibabagcfr the king of Kings of comedy,” he wrote.
AY whose real name is Ayodeji Makun, used to work as Ali Baba’s personal assistant and lived with him for some time.
