Skitmaker Cute Abiola has revisited his ordeal with the Nigerian Navy, saying that he spent 30 days in detention.
The skit-maker turned filmmaker shared photos of himself and others in a room on his Instagram account on Tuesday in which he added that the military humbled him.
“30 days Inside cell 2021! The military really humbled me !!!! Thank you Armed Forces,” he wrote.
“My morale was high!! I had little fun inside cell at some point,” the 27-year-old added in the comment section of the post.
Cute Abiola’s colleague in skit making Mr Macaroni had on November 2021 raised an alarm that the former was nowhere to be found after reporting at his office in Navy Town, Lagos, that same day.
Two days later, the navy announced that Cute Abiola was not missing but was detained for contravening military laws by posting a video of himself in military uniform on social media. He was released weeks later.
The following year, he resigned from the Nigerian Navy.
Cute Abiola told his 5.8 million followers that he decided to quit the Navy to enable him to pursue his dreams.
