President of African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina, has celebrated his 60th birthday.
Mr Adesina said in a tweet early Thursday that he stayed up to thank God for his new age.
“I stayed up to thank God as I turned 60. Thank you God for 6 decades of your faithfulness. For who I am, for what you have done for me, for family, for friends and all who support me in Nigeria, in Africa and all around the world, God, I owe them all to you. Thank you God!🙏🏼💕💕” he said.
President Muhammadu Buhari had on Wednesday sent in congratulatory messages to Adesina.
Responding to the gesture, Adesina also wrote in another tweet on Thursday in appreciation to the President.
“Thank you very much Your Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari for your kind and touching words of congratulations as I turned 60! I am most grateful and humbled by such honour,” he said.
