Adijat, the woman claiming to be Asake’s baby mama, has spoken about their past relationship, revealing that she supported the singer financially before he rose to fame.
Social media reports suggest that Adijat and Asake share an 11-year-old daughter named Zeenat.
Adijat claims resurfaced after Asake’s father, who is battling a stroke, accused the singer of neglect.
In a video posted online, Asake’s father, sitting with family members, including Adijat, demanded that the singer buy a N50 million house in Isale Eko to generate rental income for his father’s care and take a DNA test for Zeenat.
In an interview with Bukky Majet, Adijat opened up about her struggles and how her relationship with Asake changed over time.
“When he was in school, the little I had, I sent to him. Even the contributions I made, I would collect and send to him.
“But after he finished from OAU and moved to Lekki, it became difficult to reach him or even see him,” she said.
She explained that Asake’s father played an active role in taking care of Zeenat and encouraged her to keep in touch with the singer while he was away at school.
However, she claimed Asake changed after finishing university when Zeenat turned seven.
“When I told him it had been long since we saw each other, he asked me if that was important. He started giving me attitude.
“He said I was forcing myself on him and that my problems were too much. Later, he sent me messages saying he would block me. He told me I was free to marry someone else, as he had no time for a relationship,” she said.
Adijat recalled that when Asake stopped picking her calls, she involved her mother, hoping to resolve the issue.
However, Asake allegedly told her mother that Adijat was forcing herself on him and threatened to block her on all platforms.
“That response got me crying as I considered the years I had invested in the relationship,” she added.
