Nigerian choreographer and fitness coach, Kafayat Shafau-Ameh, popularly known as Kaffy, has said that she uses dancing as a therapeutic tool to help women gain confidence.
The 38-year-old disclosed this in a chat with punchng.com
“I have also used dance therapeutically to help women gain their confidence back. I have had classes where a woman would come for the first time in a large dress and complain that things are not right in her household but by the time the same woman comes for the third class, I would be the one to inform her that her sportswear is getting tighter and her top is shorter,” she said in parts.
Kaffy is the founder and owner of Imagneto Dance Company.
The Olabisi Onabanjo University diploma holder Is best known for breaking the Guinness World Records world record for Longest Dance Party at the Nokia Silverbird Danceathon in 2006.
Kaffy has served as judge on reality dance shows like Dance with Peter and Maltina Dance All, and was once a faculty member on Project Fame West Africa.
