Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo said on Wednesday that he visited Olajide Olabode, former official driver of late statesman, Obafemi Awolowo.
Osinbajo was in Ekiti State on Tuesday to launch the Federal Government’s National Home Grown School Feeding Programme in the state.
In a tweet on Wednesday, the Vice-President said Olabode was also the official driver of former Ooni of Ife, late Oba Adesoji Aderemi; late governor of the now defunct Western State of Nigeria, General Adeyinka Adebayo.
Olabode, Osinabjo said, was also the driver of late politician, Samuel Akintola.
“Yesterday, while in Ekiti, I had the privilege of visiting Pa Olajide Olabode and his family,” Osinbajo wrote.
“Pa Olabode was the official driver to Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Adesoji Aderemi, Gen. Adeyinka Adebayo & Chief Samuel Ladoke Akintola. Oh what stories he had to tell.”
