Nollywood actress, Ireti Doyle, has disclosed that she once had her eyes set on being a model but she is now content with being an actress.
The 50-year-old Tinsel actress made the revelation in an Instagram post on Thursday.
“I had vague dreams of being a model once … Ah whatever, I’m an ACTOR.. I can BE ANYTHING. #ChroniclesOfAWorkingActor #MsJessica,” she wrote.
In an Instagram post in April 2018, Ireti Doyle revealed that she almost lost her first television commercial two decades ago because she was the “wrong skin colour”.
She said that the client reps ideal choice for the commercial was a light-skinned model.
She added that the show producer insisted on using her for the commercial and that was what allowed her get the gig.
A theatre art graduate of the University of Jos, Ireti Doyle produced and presented her own fashion and lifestyle TV show titled, Oge with Iretiola, for 10 years.
She also organised fashion shows and mentored many models.
She is, however, more popular for acting in movies like The Wedding Party, Fifty, Sitanda and The Arbitration.
