Skit maker turned actress Pelumi Olawuni popularly known as Abike Shugaa has revealed that she was emotional from the beginning to the last day of filming Toyin Abraham’s Malaika.
Abike who plays the role of Chichi, Toyin’s onscreen stepdaughter, revealed this to QEDNG on the red carpet at the movie premiere held over the weekend.
“I was emotional from the first day till the 100 days. It resonated with me so much, it reminded me of things that I have gone through. She always reminded me why she is playing my stepmother. “
Quoting Toyin’s words to her, the actress said: “Forget the fact that I love you now, just hate me for a minute,” and that is what I was doing.
