Actor and rising filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji has reflected on his career as he gears up for the highly anticipated premiere of his latest film, Lisabi : The Uprising, slated to debut on Netflix on 27 of September.
Lateef took to his Instagram on Tuesday to share the official trailer, expressing both gratitude and excitement for the upcoming release.
While he alluded to the challenges faced during production, Lateef chose to focus on the positives and the many blessings he’s encountered along the way.
He captioned the post, “With excitement and joy, I present to you the official trailer of our blockbuster movie, LISABI – The Uprising.
“A Netflix original @naijaonnetflix @netflixfilm. I could go on about the hurdles we overcame to bring this to life, but today is about counting my blessings.
“From being the boy backstage to leading a galaxy of stars in delivering this masterpiece, it’s been an incredible journey.

Lisabi: The Uprising is the first part of an epic saga, with the sequel, Lisabi: A Legend is Born, scheduled for release in January 2025.
The film tells the story of the legendary Yoruba hero Lisabi, whose actions left a lasting impact on Yoruba history.
Set in the 18th century, the narrative follows an Egba farmer who leads a daring revolt against the oppressive Oyo Empire.
His defiance results in the defeat of over 6,000 Oyo soldiers, securing independence for the Egba people after centuries of subjugation.
The star-studded cast includes Femi Adebayo, Odunlade Adekola, Ibrahim Itele Yekini, Ibrahim Chattah, Mo Bimpe, Eniola Ajao, Liquorose Afije, and Lateef Adedimeji.
