South African rapper, Cassper Nyovest, has said that he wishes he was a Nigerian because of the support for artistes in the country.
The 28-year-old said this in a tweet on Sunday.
“Won’t even lie. I wish i was from Nigeria too. The love they have for thier own artists, the way they celebrate their culture, 90% local content on radio and Tv, there way they celebrate their music no matter where they are in the world, the unity within thier industry. A DREAM!” he wrote.
Doc Shebaleza as Cassper Nyovest is popularly known has previously opined that he was better than any Nigerian rapper.
Cassper received a certification from the Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA) In December 2017 for selling over 10 million album equivalents.
However, his sentiments have changed since the release of the Lion King album curated by Beyoncé that featured a lot of Nigerian artistes.
He has openly declared support for the nation’s biggest stars.
