Controversial
radio presenter, Daddy Freeze, has revealed that he would have politely
requested Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, to vacate his seat on a plane.
This is
coming in reaction to a young man requesting the literary giant to leave his
seat as shared by oil mogul, Tonye Cole.
In an
Instagram post on Monday, Daddy Freeze revealed that he would have done the
same thing.
“Dear Tonye
Cole, I probably would have politely done the same thing the young man did. Growing
up, I was taught never to challenge my elders. In retrospect, I find it
difficult to point to what this has earned us as a people? Are we more morally
upright, less corrupt, safer, richer and better than nations where children are
encouraged to stand up to elders? NO!” he wrote in parts.
The issue has garnered a lot of reactions on social media
with some saying they would not have asked Soyinka to give up his seat while
others said they would.
Twitter
users have shown support for the unidentified man, saying that Prof. Soyinka
would have done same in his youth.
