Ibadan Playhouse, a not-for-profit initiative, will from Friday, October 28 to Sunday, October 3, present a KINISO Koncepts’ stage play titled Jungle Justice at the Arts Theatre of the University of Ibadan.
Written by Femi Branch and directed by Joshua Ademola, the play promises to deliver laughter in large doses.
The performance is part of an initiative to re-awaken and sustain popular interest in the appreciation of live theatre in Ibadan and its environs.
Ibadan Playhouse is a non-profit making initiative concerned with theatre for development, awareness, promotion and intervention of the art of drama.
The mission behind the initiative is to grow and cultivate a teeming audience by ensuring a regular and enriching supply of year-round performances, deploying a programming template that caters to the needs of theatre enthusiasts.
Usually, specific performances are dedicated to secondary schools and young people; the University of Ibadan community; individuals who contribute to the quality of life and social experience around them and special audiences in orphanages, hospitals, prisons and others.
Jungle Justice will be shown twice daily – 3pm and 7pm – over the weekend.
