Actor and president of the Directors’ Guild of Nigeria DGN), Fred Amata, clocked 55 on Friday.
Among those who sent him birthday greetings is former beauty queen and president of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Ibinabo Fiberesima.
Fred and Ibinabo had an affair after his marriage to Agatha Amata ended.
The relationship produced a daughter named Ewomazino in 2008.
In a message posted on Instagram on Friday, Ibinabo called her former lover a terrific person.
“Fred Amata, You are awe-inspiring, and I am lucky to have front-row seats in your journey. Let’s celebrate your birthday in a way that is fitting for such a terrific person. Papa Zino, in your presence, I have been endowed with the wisdom of the world.
“On your birthday, I wish you a long life and all your dreams fulfilled. Have a wonderful birthday today. If they were handing out awards for phenomenal people who make the world a better place just by being in it, you would be at the top of the list,” she wrote.
Ibinabo has in the past ruled out the possibility of going back to Fred, saying that their relationship has ended.
“Fred Amata is my baby’s father. We are friends. So whenever we see, we will always talk. But we are not in a relationship,” she said in a 2014 interview with National Encomium.
Before Fred, Ibinabo had a relationship with multimedia entrepreneur, Philip Trimnell, with whom she has two children.
After Fred, she got married to one Uche Egbuka but the marriage crashed after two years.
Fred’s former wife and mother of his two kids, Agatha Amata, maintains a dignified silence on his birthday.
