Actress Ibinabo Fiberesima has revealed that her most challenging movie role is playing the character Mary Slessor in the film The Passion of Mary Slessor which she is currently filming with veteran actors Zach Orji and Segun Arinze.
Ibinabo made this known in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
The actress also shared photos from the movie scene in which she stars as lead.
“PASSION OF MARY SLESSOR Filming ongoing in Uyo. I must confess this is my most challenging role as an Actor and I am so loving it. Thank you Moses Eskor,” she wrote.
Ibinabo made her movie debut in the film Most Wanted which also stars Regina Asika, Liz Benson, Ayo Adesanya, Bob Manuel Udokwu and others.
She has also featured in several movies like 76, Letters to a Stranger, The Ghost, Ladies Night, The Twin Sword, Rivers Between and Pastor’s Wife.
The former President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria was charged with manslaughter and reckless driving in 2009 after she accidentally killed a medical doctor Giwa Suraj in 2006.
The 50-year-old was sentenced to a five-year jail term by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos. She was however granted bail in the sum of ₦2 million by a Court of Appeal in Lagos pending the determination of her appeal at the Supreme Court.
