The Court of Appeal in Lagos on Tuesday upheld the election of Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, daughter of former governor of Delta State James Ibori, as the lawmaker representing the Ethiope Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
A three-member panel led by Justice Festus Ogbuinaya affirmed Ibori-Suenu’s election.
In upholding her election, the appellate court dismissed the petition of her challenger Ben Igbakpa of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
