Watford boss, Quique Sanchez Flores, has said he does not expect Odion Ighalo and strike partner, Troy Deeney, to leave Vicarage Road in January.
Nigeria international Ighalo, 26, is the fourth top scorer in the Premier League this season with 10 goals while Deeney, 27, has scored five, but the Spaniard is not concerned that either player could move on next month.
“With Ighalo and Deeney, my expectation for sure is we are going to keep them,” he said.
“From the meetings I have had with the owners we have not talked about the possibility of these players leaving in the middle of the season.”
Watford, who are seventh on the table after three consecutive victories, host Liverpool at Vicarage Road on Sunday.
Flores will go head-to-head with Jurgen Klopp for the first time in his managerial career, but the Watford boss says his attentions will be on the Liverpool team rather than their charismatic manager.
“He’s a very positive manager and he’s always thinking about good, offensive football,” he added.
“He wants to learn about the Premier League and it is new for him, but I’m not thinking too much about the coach, I’m thinking about Adam Lallana, James Milner, Emre Can, Christian Benteke. That’s more important than the thoughts of Jurgen Klopp.”
