Nigeria international Odion Ighalo joked in an Instagram post on Saturday about signing his mother to his club Al Hilal.
He shared photos of himself presenting his jersey to his excited mother.
“I just signed Mama to Al Hilal Football Club Saudi and she’s very happy about the deal,” the former Manchester United forward said.
Ighalo moved from Al Shabab to Al Hilal both in Saudi Arabia in January. He revealed later that he ended relations with Al Shabab because of the club’s refusal to release him for the 2021 AFCON which was played in 2022 after being postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Al Hilal, which finished last season as champions of the Saudi Arabia top flight, featured in the FIFA Club World Cup but lost to Chelsea.
