Manchester United forward, Odion Ighalo, has teased his Nigerian compatriot, John Ogu, who surprised five fans with N10,000 each as giveaway.
Ogu, 31, wrote on Twitter late Tuesday to say he understood things were tough at the moment as the world battles the coronavirus pandemic.
He then said five persons would wake up on Wednesday to the transferred funds.
“I understand how things are tough in this period in our life but our lives matters more than wealth cause they said health is wealth. I’ve seen people tweet their accounts to me. Anyways 5 people can just wake and receive 10k each. You can as well follow ogu30 on Instagram,” said the Al-Adalah midfielder.
Ighalo, 30, replied saying: “Make I send my akant bros.”
The Manchester United loanee has been offered a two-year contract extension worth more than £400,000 per week by his parent club Shanghai Shenhua.
He has impressed at United, scoring four goals in his first three starts.
Ighalo’s loan in England expires on May 31 but it is likely to be extended until June 30 because of the pandemic.
It is rumoured though that Old Trafford authorities are preparing a £15 million package to sign him on a permanent deal from China.
