Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho on Sunday posted pictures of his heroics at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2013 to Instagram in celebration of his 25th birthday.
The Leicester City player quoted Matthew 5:8 in his post which read, “Happy birthday KELECHUKWU. Blessed are the pure in heart for the shall see God.”
Iheanacho’s national and club teammate Wilfred Ndidi, and Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa among others have congratulated him in the comment section of his Instagram post.
Iheanacho played a significant role in the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup, where he won the Golden Ball award for player of the tournament. Nigeria won the competition, in which Iheanacho scored six times, including once in the final, and provided seven assists.
