Nigerian youngster, Kelechi Iheanacho, has finally been included in Manchester City’s squad for their pre-season tour of China.
There were suggestions the 19-year-old Nigeria striker would not be able to travel due to visa issues.
But a 34-man list released by the club on Wednesday morning included the young striker who notched 14 goals last season.
This will come as a huge relief for Iheanacho who would have missed the opportunity to impress new boss, Pep Guardiola.
It however ends any hopes of the left-footed forward representing Nigeria at this summer’s Rio Olympics.
Also included are new signings Oleksandr Zinchenko and Nolito while Ilkay Gundogan misses out due to injury.
The likes of Kevin de Bruyne, Eliaquim Mangala and Bacary Sagna remained on leave following prolonged involvement at the 2016 European Championship.
City play a friendly in Germany against Guardiola’s old club Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening before heading to China.
They play Manchester United in Beijing next Monday and Borussia Dortmund in Shenzen the following Thursday.
