Chief Judge of Imo State, Paschal Nnadi, has sworn in Emeka Ihedioha as the sixth executive governor of Imo State.
Mr Ihedioha was sworn in on Wednesday at Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.
Gerald Irona was also sworn in as deputy governor of the state.
Ihedioha begins a new era in the state after winning the governorship election in February on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Immediate past governor, Rochas Okorocha, is a member of All Progressives Congress (APC).
APC candidate at the governorship election, Hope Uzodinma, and Mr Okorocha’s anointed candidate, Uche Nwosu, lost with wide margin to Ihedioha.
