Actress Mary Gold has weighed in on the ongoing marital crisis between comedian Ijoba Lande and his wife, Dara, claiming that actor Baba Tee only engaged in an affair with Dara after being dared.
Her statement comes amid accusations by Ijoba Lande, who had alleged that his wife was involved in extramarital affairs with several entertainers, including Baba Tee.
Ijoba Lande also accused Mary Gold, who was both his manager and his wife’s best friend, of introducing Dara to Baba Tee and other men in the industry.
Addressing the allegations during a live TikTok session, Mary Gold admitted to taking Dara to Baba Tee’s house but insisted that the encounter between the two was unplanned.
She claimed that during a game of Truth or Dare, Dara was the one who initiated the intimate act.
“In fairness to Baba Tee, I did not tell him that I was coming to his house with a friend (Dara). When we got there, both of them started playing Truth or Dare, and it was Dara who told Baba Tee, ‘I dare you to have sex with me.’ She kept telling him to make the game romantic,” she revealed.
Mary Gold further explained that she was unaware of what transpired between them at the time, as she was in the kitchen listening to music before falling asleep, leaving Dara and Baba Tee alone in the living room.
“I won’t lie, it was Dara who seduced him. I accept that I made a mistake by taking her to Baba Tee’s house without Lande’s knowledge, but I never planned for them to have sex. Right now, Baba Tee has blocked me. People should stop blaming me,” she added.
