The organisers of music talent show Nigerian Idol have unveiled TV and radio personality Ik Osakioduwa as the host of the show’s season six.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the popular music talent reality show Nigerian Idol is back for its sixth season after nearly six-year break on Tuesday.
The organiser made the announcement to fans on their Instagram page @nigeriaidol.
“Double tap if you love @ikosakioduma, the Host of #NigerianIdol❤️,” they wrote.
“Not only is he suave, witty, entertaining and handsome, @ikosakioduwa is also the Host for #NigerianIdol 🎤. Prepare to be thoroughly entertained,” organisers said in another post.
They also revealed singer Seyi Shay, entrepreneur Obi Asika and DJ Sose as the judges of the show.
IK also shared the news on Instagram on Monday.
“In the words of @djkhaled, it’s “Another One”. Your boy is the host of Nigerian Idol and @obiasika @iamseyishay & @djsoseofficial are your Judges. It’s going to be fire. Catch it on Ch 198 on DSTV, Ch 29 on GoTv & @africamagic,” he wrote.
In another post he said, “Nigerian Idol Get ready for us. We’re going all out with this one. Let’s find Nigeria’s next super star.”
Nigerian Idols formerly West African Idols has produced singers like Timi Dakolo, Omawunmi Megbele and Mercy Chinwo.
The show aired last in 2015 with Lakunle K-Peace emerging as the winner.
