Super Eagles duo, Carl Ikeme and Sone Aluko, were rewarded for their impressive showing at the weekend by being named in the English Championship Team of the Week.
The pair were instrumental for Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham respectively in their victories.
Ikeme kept a clean sheet for Wolves who halted a seven-game winless run with a hard-fought 1-0 home win against Rotherham United.
The victory lifts his side to 20th and on 39 points in the league table and one point above the relegation zone.
Aluko, who made it into the elite list for the second successive week, provided two assists in Fulham’s 3-1 away win against Championship leaders Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.
With the triumph, Fulham climbed to seventh on the log and are just two points away from the playoff spot.
While Ikeme is expected to feature for Nigeria in the forthcoming friendlies against Senegal and Burkina Faso, Aluko is overlooked for both games.
