Abia State Government has said that no member of the family of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) besides the governor.
Chief Press Secretary to Abia State governor, Onyebuchi Ememanka, told The PUNCH on Tuesday that “contact tracing is on and no member of the immediate family is positive.”
Mr Ememanka, however, refused to disclose where the governor was receiving treatment.
Commissioner for Health, Joe Osuji, also declined to comment on it.
Mr Ikpeazu is rumoured to have been moved to Abuja for treatment since testing positive for coronavirus on Monday.
The governor handed over the running of the state to his deputy, Ude Chukwu.
