Ex-Nigeria international Mikel Obi has replied Chelsea forward Nicholas Jackson, urging him to silence his critics by scoring goals.
Obi, who starred for Chelsea for about a decade, stated this in his podcast The Obi One on Monday.
The 37-year-old had criticised Jackson for his poor finishing during Chelsea’s 2-0 loss to Manchester City last weekend.
“We created chances, we haven’t taken them. And just an example of how Jackson finishes,” he said.
In response on Instagram, the Senegalese striker asked Obi to shut his mouth.
“Mikel Obi, shut your mouth, don’t talk sh*t, we are killing ourselves for Africa,” Jackson wrote.
Obi said he would stop criticising Jackson if the latter starts scoring goals.
“If he scores every week and tells me to shut up, I’ll take that,” he said.
