Veteran actor Dele Odule has responded to false rumours circulating about his death and alleged involvement in a child molestation case.

In a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday, Dele addressed a blogger, identified as OpeOmoAjiboye, who had falsely claimed the actor was dead.

The blogger had posted a picture of Odule alongside the word “RIP” in a baseless story.

“There’s nothing wrong with me, I am very much alive,” Odule stated.

“I don’t understand why someone would wish me dead. This is barbaric, uncalled for, and not fair.”

The actor also took aim at another false report that suggested he had been arrested for child molestation, featuring an image of him with handcuffs.

“For what? What is your problem? Are you alright? Don’t try to bring me down,” Odule added.

“If you come at me, you’re coming at God because you are not fighting me but God.”

Odule expressed his gratitude to fans who have shown support, saying, “I love you to bits. Thank you for being there always and for your concern about my well-being. I really appreciate it. God bless you.”

Fellow stars like Kunle Afod and Opeyemi Aiyeola have rallied behind the actor, reassuring him that nothing harmful will happen.

Dele Odule, a respected Nigerian actor, producer and director, has been a prominent figure in the Yoruba film industry for over three decades.

Known for his roles in Abeni (1996), Sango (1997), and Kí lo níí jẹ́ (2000), Odule has also appeared in films like The Mystic River (2021), Ada Omo Daddy (2023), The New Patriots (2020) and Seven Doors (2024).
