Broadcaster Reuben Abati has declared that he is happy at this point in his life as he celebrates his 58th birthday.
“+ 1 today! I’m at a happy place!! A new year, a new dawn, and a new chapter in my life,” Mr Abati said in his post on Tuesday on social media.
“Thankful to the creator and the controller of my journey.”
The Arise TV anchor noted that while he celebrates, he cannot but hope for a better country with a productive economy.
“While I reflect on my new year, my mind is also occupied with the state of my fatherland. As a nationalist and journalist, a better Nigeria with a productive economy is what I hope for, as we continue to navigate through recent challenges, we have to work together with the present administration for the good of our great nation. Belief in unity, Belief in Prosperity for all,” Abati said.

His birthday comes one week after his wife Kikelomo Atanda-Owo clocked a year older. Atanda-Owo is in her forties.
Abati, a former presidential aide, wrote a heartfelt note on social media in celebration of his wife.
The family held a party at The Red Restaurant, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos to celebrate Atanda-Owo. Among the attendees were former Super Eagles player Segun Odegbami and actor Bolanle Ninalowo.
